Dr. Donald Sturgeon will continue his postdoctoral tenure at the Fairbank Center for a second year, this time as an An Wang Postdoctoral Fellow.
Previous, as a 2015-16 Digital Humanities and Social Sciences Postdoctoral Fellow, Donald launched the Center’s first for-credit digital humanities course with the Department for East Asian Languages and Civilizations. Building on the Center’s previous Digital China Lab—an effort to increase literacy in digital methods among students of East Asia, led by former An Wang Postdoctoral Fellow Dr. Paul Vierthaler and Dr. Anthony Ruozzi—the introduction to Chinese Digital Humanities was very successful, and will be offered again in the 2016-17 academic year. Students interested in the course should click here for more information, or email Donald Sturgeon at email@example.com.
Donald’s appointment is part of the Center’s 60th Anniversary strategic priorities to further research in the digital humanities and social sciences.
