Nick R. Smith is an Assistant Professor of Urban Studies at Yale-NUS College, Singapore. His research explores urban transformation and planning, and his current work focuses on urban policy and village planning in contemporary China. Nick received his A.B. from Harvard College ’04 (East Asian Studies) and his Ph.D. from Harvard’s Graduate School of Arts and Sciences ’15 (Urban Planning). He has held visiting positions at the University of Oxford, Chongqing University, and Renmin University.
