Austin Jordan is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Government at Harvard University. His dissertation project, “Essays on Lobbying and Chinese Foreign Economic Policy,” examines how the Chinese Communist Party leverages industrial associations as governance tools and conduits through which businesses lobby for their interests.
