Nora Chen is a Ph.D. student in Government at Harvard University studying the political economy of authoritarianism. Her research explores three core questions about inequality and redistribution in China: the political origins of inequality, the spatial variation of mobility regimes, and redistributive reforms in the most recent two decades. She received a B.A. in Sociology from Tsinghua University and A.M. in Regional Studies-East Asia from Harvard University.
