University of Pennsylvania report names the Fairbank Center as a world-leading center for regional studies
The Fairbank Center is pleased to be named among the top regional studies centers in the world by the 2021 University of Pennsylvania Global Go To Think Tank Index Report. This is the fourth consecutive year that the Fairbank Center has received this recognition.
The Center was named alongside other research centers at Harvard, including the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs, the Davis Center for Russian and Eurasian Studies, the Center for International Development, the Weatherhead Center for International Affairs, the Ash Center for Democratic Governance, and the Mossavar-Rahmani Center for Business and Government.
Fairbank Center Director Michael Szonyi said, “Thanks to the great staff, colleagues, visitors who are the strength of the Fairbank Center, and to the University of Pennsylvania Global Go To Think Tank Index Report for this affirmation.”
The University of Pennsylvania’s Think Tanks and Civil Societies Program has produced the Global Go To Think Tank Index annually since 2007, drawing on the input of nearly 4,000 scholars, policymakers, journalists, and funders. It is widely regarded as the definitive resource on the study of think tanks.
