Get Involved

There are numerous ways to get involved with the Fairbank Center’s activities, programs, and events. Whether you are a Harvard student, a member of the China Studies community, a journalist looking for an expert, or simply have a passing interest in China, our world-class research provides something for everyone.

Please note that we are currently limiting our in-person presence at the Center to Harvard faculty, students, staff, and affiliates who have an assigned office. Harvard continues to prioritize health and safety as the campus community resumes in-person teaching and research.

Attend an event

Our public lectures and events are open to all and many are available to watch or listen online. Our ten lecture series cover the full range of our research, from our Critical Issues Confronting China series on contemporary politics, to our China Humanities seminar on topics ranging from China’s earliest dynasties to today, our events connect guest speakers from around the world with members of our community and public audiences.

Be the first to know about our upcoming lectures and events by subscribing to our weekly events email.
