Bio

Saul Wilson is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Watson Institute for International and Public Affairs at Brown University. He earned his Ph.D. in Government from Harvard in 2022. His book project, “The Landlord State,” demonstrates how the Chinese state’s efforts to monopolize land supply led to a sprawling program of state building. 

Research Interests: Municipal politics in China, urban planning and urban development in China
