Bio
Hok Yin Chan (陳學然) is Professor and Associate Head of the Department of Chinese and History at the City University of Hong Kong. His research focuses primarily on modern Chinese intellectual history and Hong Kong history. Chan’s latest books include Cultural Hong Kong: A Century of Urban Flux and Sino-British Relations and Colonial Governance: Sir Cecil Clementi in Hong Kong, 1925–1930.
