
Wenfei Wang (王文菲) is a Ph.D. Candidate in the East Asian Languages and Civilizations Department. Her dissertation project re-examines the intricate relationship between cosmological order and technique, as expressed through imagined surgical interventions in reshaping the human body, as well as the creation of artificial life. Her source materials include strange tales, philosophical discourses, medical texts, and technical treatises.
