The China Initiative, launched under the Trump administration, led to the wrongful prosecution of Chinese American scientists, including MIT Professor Gang Chen. With discussions of its possible revival, this talk will explore its legal and social impact, its effects on the scientific community, and what its return could mean for U.S.-China relations.
