Bio
Rui Guo (郭锐) was a law professor at Renmin University of China, where he led a nationally influential disability law clinic and taught courses on corporate law and the ethics of artificial intelligence (AI). His publication analyzed the influence of Chinese state power on market and corporate entities and examines corporate social responsibility within China’s unique context. He contributed China’s first AI standardization white paper (2018) and led the drafting of the AI Ethical Risk Research Report (2019), published by the Artificial Intelligence Working Group, Standardization Administration of China (SAC). He is also a member of the Sub-committee of Artificial Intelligence within the National Standardization Committee of Information Technology.
Professor Guo received his legal training at Harvard Law School (LL.M., S.J.D.) and China University of Political Science and Law (LL.B., LL.M.). At Harvard, Guo continues his research on the intersection of law, AI, corporations, and human rights.
