Shaowen Zhang (张绍雯) is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Film and Visual Studies. Her dissertation, “Revolution in Color,” investigates the social, political, visual, and media-industrial legacy of color from China’s socialist period to the early 1990s. The project explores the mediated memories of national construction.
